Have a project* in mind?
Whether you’re building a new identity, planning a publication, need some extra design support or simply have a project you’re not quite sure what to call yet — we’d love to hear about it.
You don’t need to arrive with the creative solution. That’s our part.
For now, just tell us a little about what you’re working on, what you need help with, who it’s for and any timings we should know about.

What happens next?
Once we’ve read through your enquiry, Sara will come back to you with the best next steps.
For larger projects, we’ll usually arrange a relaxed call to talk things through before putting together a proposal. For something more straightforward, we may be able to get going over email.
No hard sell or awkward sales call. Just a conversation about what you need, whether we can help and what happens from there.
The questions* we often get asked
-
Type & Thread works with independent businesses, organisations and education teams across the UK. Some clients come to us for a one-off project, others stay with us for ongoing design support.
You don’t need to be a particular size or fit neatly into a box — if you value thoughtful design and a close working relationship, there’s a good chance we’ll get along.
-
Not at all. You might have a detailed brief ready to go, or you might just know that something isn’t quite working.
Tell us where you’re at and what you’re hoping to achieve, and we can help work out the right next step.
-
Absolutely. Not every project needs a rebrand.
We’re very happy working with an established identity — whether you need a report, publication, presentation, campaign or simply some reliable design support to keep everything looking joined up.
-
Yes. Design for Education is a specialist part of Type & Thread, covering branding, prospectus design and wider creative communications for schools, colleges, universities and Multi-Academy Trusts.
You can find out more on our Design for Education page.
-
Yes. If design jobs have a habit of piling up, we can provide ongoing support for the things your team needs regularly — from publications and presentations to campaigns, social graphics and print.
It also means the more we work together, the less you have to explain your brand every time.
-
As early as you can, particularly if there’s a fixed launch, event or print deadline involved.
But if something has landed on your desk with a slightly less generous timescale, it’s still worth asking. We’ll always be upfront about what we can realistically fit in.
